Jedes Jahr werden auf der Game Developers Conference Preise für die besten Spiele des vorangegangenen Jahres verliehen. So werden auch in diesem Jahr wieder die Choice Awards vergeben. Die Favoriten auf den Titel "Game of the Year" sind dabei unter anderem The Witcher 3, Metal Gear Solid 5 und Fallout 4. Neben den drei Favoriten sind auch Bloodborne und Rocket League für diesen Titel nominiert.

Die meisten Nominierungen in jeweils vier Kategorien können The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt und Metal Gear Solid 5 vorweisen. MGS 5 ist beispielsweise für "Best Audio" und "Best Design" nominiert. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt ist in den Kategorien "Best Visual Art" und "Best Narrative" nomniert. Beide Titel konkurrieren außerdem um die Titel "Best Technology" und "Game of the Year".

Auch Star Wars: Battlefront hat es geschafft, in den Kategorien "Best Audio", "Best Visual Art" und "Best Technology" nominiert zu werden. Fromsoftwares Bloodborne darf sich der Nominierungen "Game of the Year", "Best Design" und "Best Visual Art" rühmen. Besonders Letzteres ist wohl nicht zuletzt dem beeindruckenden Gegnerdesign geschuldet. Zuletzt darf sich natürlich auch Bethesdas Fallout 4 freuen. Das könnte die Titel "Best Design", "Best Technology" und natürlich auch "Game oft he Year" abräumen.

Wer die entsprechenden Auszeichnungen schließlich bekommen wird, erfahren wir dann am 16. März 2016, wenn die GDC in San Francisco stattfindet. Wer möchte, kann das Event live über Twitch mitverfolgen.
